A Colorado man accused of keeping a woman chained in his basement over the course of several months has been sentenced to six years in prison and three years of parole in exchange for his guilty plea. The Grand Junction Sentinel reports that Claude Lee Wilkerson was sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty to false imprisonment and second-degree assault.

Police responded to a report of a shots fired outside of the Walmart store at East 60th Avenue and Dahlia Street in Commerce City Tuesday night. Video from the parking lot outside of the store appeared to a show a car that had damage from the incident.
Thornton Police are investigating a homicide Tuesday night after a dispute between neighbors. A man was killed and another man is in custody after a disagreement ended in gunfire in the 4600 block of 106th Drive in Thornton, police said in a 9 p.m. tweet. There is no threat to public safety, law enforcement said. The scene of the shooting is an active crime scene as of 9:20 p.m.
