A large power outage in the Sun Valley area of Denver has caused outages to over 2,500 residences, according to an outage map provided online by Xcel Energy.
Officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the 2700 block of King Street regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is listed as critical and stable.

The Denver Police Department says the death of a man in the Barnum neighborhood late Thursday night is now being investigated as a homicide. The homicide happened at 24 S. Hazel Court – not far from Federal Boulevard and West Bayaud Avenue, according to DPD.

Police are offering a reward, for help finding a man who took money from the Residence Inn in Boulder. On Tuesday, police responded tot he Residence Inn at 3030 Center Green Dr. after a clerk called about a robbery. She told them a man came to the lobby front desk and demanded she give him all the money.
A man was found dead in a ditch in east Aurora Wednesday afternoon. The police department said a passerby called them about the body at 12:41 p.m. Officers responded to the area near East 26th Avenue and Himalaya Road. They said the man had suffered apparent trauma.
